How does the FA Cup work?
The tournament begins with multiple qualifying rounds in which teams from as far down as tier 10 on the league ladder are involved. The tournament is in a knock-out format, with only one leg being played between each team. The first round contains those who have qualified plus every team from League One and League Two. In the third round teams from the Premier League and Championship join the party. The final is a showpiece event and is held at Wembley Stadium.

28 November – Second Round
9 January 2021 – Third Round
23 January – Fourth Round
10 February – Fifth Round

When is the FA Cup final?
The 2021 final will take place on Saturday 15 May at Wembley Stadium. The kick-off time is usually confirmed in April. It will be shown on BBC One.
